Your purchase supports LGBTQ youth in St. Albert
All mask sale proceeds go to supporting Outloud St. Albert. Outloud first opened its doors in March 2014 as a safe, inclusive space for youth who feel different to connect with each other and allies, away from the intense bullying and high suicide rates still prevalent in LGBTQ youth.
Mia Soetaert was fortunate to come out to a supportive family who then discovered there wasn’t an understanding, non-judgmental environment for other diverse youth struggling with their sexuality and gender identities in St. Albert.
Mia and her father Terry created Outloud Foundation for Community LGBTQ Supports and Services, an Alberta non-profit incorporation, started the twice-monthly adult-supervised Youth meetings, growing to support all ages including Juniors plus PFLAG St. Albert, connected professional resources, and expanded to speaking programs in schools and businesses.
